The Association of Municipalities of the Costa del Sol Axarquia (Mancomunidad) is to invest €390,000 in new beach cleaning machinery.
The idea is to purchase six new machines which will help with the cleaning and maintenance of the beaches between Rincón de la Victoria and Nerja.
The purchase proposal has already been published in the Boletín Oficial de la Provincia (BOP) – the Official Provincial Gazette – and companies can now put in their bids to supply the necessary machinery. The Mancomunidad is hoping to get everything sorted quickly so that these new machines can be used for the upcoming summer season.
The Mancomunidad has already assumed control of cleaning the coastal waters in the Axarquia in an effort to provide an efficient and cost effective service.
