Delegations from the Social Action and Family, Youth and Local Police in have launched an interesting new safety campaign aimed at the youth in the municipality, designated ‘conductor alternativo’ – alternative driver.
The campaign runs from June 27th to July 4th and the aim is to educate, or sensitize, young people regarding the consumption of drugs and alcohol when driving.
There will be regular, voluntary, breatherliser controls carried out at the Punto de Atención a la Movida (PAM) by Local Police officers. Those testing ‘negative’ on three occasions during these voluntary checks will be eligible for prizes, which include €10 petrol vouchers.
Those who test ‘positive’ for alcohol or drugs will be given a ticket for the night bus!
