The Councilor for Infrastructure, José Alberto Tomé, has been holding meetings with residents and businessmen who will be affected by the upcoming renovation works in calle Carmen, Avenida Andalucia and Plaza Cavana.
The works in calle Carmen and Plaza Cavana will not be carried out simultaneously, although the interval between the end of one project and the start of the next will be kept to a minimum.
The calle Carmen project has a budget of €264,132 and a completion period of six months and is expected to start early in September.
The Plaza Cavana project has a budget of €346,251.25 and a completion period of six months.
These are two very central and business oriented areas. If these projects are completed according to schedule, and it’s hard to remember one that was, we are looking at one year of possible disruptions. In addition, this could mean that the Plaza Cavana project would still be in progress during the next ‘summer season’.
The avenida Andalucia project has a budget of €396,000 and a completion period of four months.
