The Cofradía de los Verdes (Brotherhood of the Greens) in Alhaurín el Grande are holding a series of events this weekend to mark the Day of the Cross, with processions on Sunday and Monday.
On Sunday, the procession starts at 21:30 and goes from the hermitage to the parish, the image of the Señor del Convento (Convent of the Lord) being accompanied by the musical groups of Los Verdes, Virgen de la Salud of Huelva and Santa Cecilia of Sevilla.
The procession on Monday, a local holiday, sees the return of the image to the hermitage with musical accompaniment by the groups of Santa Vera-Cruz de Campillos, Jesús Cautivo de Málaga and the Brigada Paracaidista (Bripac).
