Maritime Rescue and Guardia Civil officers are searching for the occupant or occupants of a boat that ran aground on the rocks in La Herradura, Granada province.
The five metre long boat crashed into the rocks and was stranded, engines still running. Witnesses report seeing the boat enter the area at high speed, about 400 or 500 metres from the shore. and state that there was at least one person on board at that time.
The Guardia Civil, two helicopters and two Coastguard patrol boats are involved in the search.
