Sunday sees the II Trofeo de Pesca – Fishing Competition – for young people on El Playazo beach in Nerja, with trophies, gifts and food for all the competitors.
Some 60 people took part in last year’s inaugural event and the organisers expect this to be surpassed this year.
The idea is to encourage young people to participate in this outdoor activity and, for one day at least, get them away from the video consoles and computers.
