At its next plenary session, Pizarra Council is expected to approve a reduction in salary of 7% for the Mayor, a 5% reduction for Councillors and a 5% in attendance allowances for meetings and commissions.
The savings as a result of these measures will be in the region of €11,000 per year and they follow the guidelines set by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces after the application of Royal Decree Law 8/2010 of May 20th relating to salary freezes and measures to reduce the fiscal deficit.
Productivity payments will not be affected.
