The PP in Nerja is not giving up its crusade against the Spatial Plan of the Axarquia (POTAX) which was approved by the Junta de Andalucia in 2006 and subsequently upheld by the Superior Court of Andalucia and effectively put an end to any plans for a golf course in La Coladilla, declaring the land to be protected from development.
The PP does not agree with the ruling by the Supreme Court and is now studying the details with a view to launching another appeal.
Similar appeals by Competa and Sayalonga against the POTAX have also ended in failure.
The Opposition parties believe that appealing the decision of the Supreme Court could have serious consequences and the PP should move on and concentrate on solving the problems of the municipality and negotiate a new and different agreement with the Junta de Andalucia regarding a golf course.
