Sunday was quite a glorious day and the centre of town, particularly around the Balcon de Europa, was verging on ‘busy’.
All the pavement cafes were doing a roaring trade, so maybe a good sign for the rest of the year. Many will certainly be hoping so.

How beautiful it is to see the Balcon a hive of activity, I think back to my people watching evenings during the Summer 2010 and can only enthuse at the winter /spring activity. In the current climate of credit crunch amongst all the other issues, it is lovely to sit in old blighty and wish to be part of the current nerja activities and hanker for your summer holiday to fastrack to summer. I hope the local cafe’s and restaurants can sustain the credit crunch and continue to offer the charm and hospitality that we expect from nerja which has been its signature for many a year.
I have never been disappointed with my stay in nerja and am confident it has continued to offer the simply spanish charm we all strive to experience.
