Today sees the start of the annual feria in Cártama in honour of the Virgen de los Remedios, the first time for many years that the celebration has coincided with Semana Santa.
During the day, the celebrations will take place between calle Juan Carlos I and the parque Santo Cristo, returning at night to the area around the Sports Complex.
Friday is the day when the patron is brought from the hermitage and the procession through the streets will be on Saturday.
The festivities continue until Monday.
