Two Portuguese Man o’ War jellyfish (Physalia Physalis) have been reported on El Playazo beach in recent days.
The jellyfish, whose sting can be fatal, are normally found in the Atlantic Ocean but, in recent years, have also been detected in the Mediterranean.
Last year, Almayate beach had to be closed for a while after twenty of these jellyfish appeared on the scene.
