Work on the Eagle Aqueduct has been completed and the scaffolding should be completely gone within the next few days.
The aqueduct, built by Francisco Cantarero in 1880, has been covered in scaffolding for the past ten months while renovations have been taking place. The project cost €514,000 and was financed by the Junta de Andalucia (70%) and the Municipal Council (30%).
The Council are still awaiting a decision from the regional authorities regarding a proposed amendment to the project for the installation of artistic lighting. A decision on this request is expected next week.
