Car sales for July, traditionally the best month of the year, were down by 4% at 78,913 units when compared to the same month last year. To put things in perspective, July 2010 was a particularly bad month.
The figures were provided by the manufacturers (Anfac) and sellers (Ganvam) associations. This makes thirteen consecutive months in decline for the automobile industry.
