Two hunters charged over death of Iberian Lynx

Seprona has indicted two hunters for their alleged involvement in the killing of an Iberian Lynx in Doñana last July.

The Iberian Lynx is an endangered species and is protected by law. The body of the animal was found in an area between two farms in the municipality of Aznalcázar, Sevilla, and over 30 pellets were found in the corpse.

There are about 80 Lynxes in the Doñana Natural Park area. There have been four fatalities so far this year as a result of unnatural causes, such as shootings or other attacks by humans.
