The Department of Cleaning and Urban Ecology has started to repair some of the underground rubbish containers, some having deteriorated over time, others having been vandalised.
The most damaged receptacles are the ones at the junction of calle El Barrio and avenida Castilla Perez where the majority of lids have been rendered useless.
A new opening mechanism is being installed and a new side opening is being installed.
