Málaga has suffered badly with the storms of the past couple of days with streets being turned into rivers, but Nerja seems to have escaped ‘relatively’ unscathed. The area below the Supersol supermarket, used for storage and parking, is flooded as one might expect.
A few people have suffered flooding of basements but it could have been a lot worse.
Chringuito Mauri and Pepe Mesa on El Playazo beach are badly flooded, as are the beachfront restaurants at Burriana, including Ayo’s.
The rio Chillar is flowing quite fast at the moment and it actually has an estuary at El Playazo beach.
