Thursday December 6th is Constitution Day (Dia de la Constitución), a public holiday in Spain, and several official events have been planned. The first is on Tuesday December 4th, a talk by senator Patricia Navarro on the Spanish Constitution intended for first year bachillerato students. The talk takes place at 13:00 in the Nerja Cultural Centre, calle Granada 45.
At 11:30 on Thursday December 6th, Constitution Day itself, there will be the reading an institutional manifesto followed by the reading of four articles of the Constitution by local secondary school pupils.
At 12:00 at the Town Hall there will be a performance by the Nerja Municipal Band followed by the hoisting of the flags, this act to be carried out by four local youths.
