One of the events to celebrate Constitution Day on December 6th was held yesterday at the Nerja Cultural Centre where pupils from the Instituto El Chaparil attended a lecture by the provincial delegate Patricia Navarro.
The Councillor for Citizen Participation has announced the events to commemorate Constitution Day, beginning with a talk to be given by the provincial delegate Maria Bravo at the Nerja Cultural Centre, calle Granada 45, on December 4th.
The Constitution Day celebrations included a performance by the Nerja Municipal Band as well as the ceremonial hoisting of the flags adorning the Town Hall. The honour of raising the flags was in the hands of four local residents who will attain, or have attained, the age of eighteen years during this month.
Thursday December 6th is Constitution Day (Dia de la Constitución), a public holiday in Spain, and several official events have been planned. The first Nerja Crafts Show is due to take place on Constitution Day, December 6th, in the Plaza de Espana between 11:00 and 17:00. All crafts on display have to be entirely hand made and fifty artisans from Málaga have already signed up to participate.
