The Council has received funding from the provincial Council to complete the new Social Services building in pasaje San Miguel. The project was started many, many years ago after a cooperation agreement was signed with the Junta de Andalucia to build and operate the new centre.
The whole thing stalled due to changes made to the project which required processing and approval and the unwillingness of the Junta to provide extra funding (big surprise). The Provincial Council has now stepped in and have made €87,062 available to complete the project. This will bring the total cost of the new centre to €653,000.
