Workers at the municipal cleaning company in El Ejido, Almeria, have called an indefinite strike as from January 6th, Three Kings Day, in protest at the non-payment of agreed bonuses for June and December 2012.
The cleaning concessionaire Hermanos Lirola apparently owes the bonus payments to 110 workers and although they have allegedly pledged to pay the wages on several occasions, nothing has actually happened. A meeting has been scheduled with the mediation service SERCLA in an attempt to avoid strike action.
