The pilot of a small plane died on Sunday afternoon when the craft he was flying crashed and burst into flames near El Alamo, Madrid. The plane was en route from Casarrubios, Toledo, to Madrid when the accident occurred.
The pilot died when the plane burst into flames. He was a 60 year old engineer, initials J.E.C.S., and had apparently designed and built the plane himself.
The reasons for the crash are not yet known but an investigation is under way.
