Thursday June 5th is World Environment Day and the Council has presented a programme of events to commemorate the occasion.
The Children’s painting Studio will focus their attention on the environment and will receive a plant as a gift.
Students at the colegio San Miguel will be doing a bit of gardening on the patio of the school with plants and supervision provided by the Council.
At 17:30 in the Plenary Hall of the Town Hall will be an awards ceremony for a competition organised by Aguas de Narixa, the municipal water company.
During the afternoon, the Department of Youth has arranged an awareness campaign whereby students will go to Burriana and Torrecilla beaches to collect cigarette ends and distribute conical ashtrays to bathers.
