Municipal sports ordinances for 2014

The Councillor for Sports, José Alberto Tomé, has reported that the municipal sports ordinances for 2014 are currently being prepared and that in certain cases, the costs will be lowered.

The fee for the grass football field is set to remain the same as last year, but the cost of using the artificial pitches, Football 11 and Football 7, will be reduced slightly.

There are plans to introduce a new tourist subscription rate aimed mainly at the increasing number of foreign athletes who come to Nerja to train. This is expected to be a single rate regardless of the sporting discipline being practiced.

Changes are also planned for the free swimming sessions. Currently, subscriptions for 10, 20 or 30 swimming sessions are valid for 3, 5 or 6 months. In 2014, all subscriptions will be valid for the entire current year.

There are also plans to provide more benefits for Youth Card holders, these resulting in an equivalent price reduction of around twenty percent.
