There are to be no more circuses involving animals or shows offering ponies as an attraction in Málaga province.
The measure was announced by the Mayor, Francisco de la Torre, to representatives of the newly formed Federation for the Protection of Animals.
The new measure will be approved at the plenary session in January and once it enters into force, no more authorisations for installations of circuses with animals will be granted.
