The town hall has begun works to move the “Fuente de Europa” from the Verano Azul Park to the Plaza de Los Cangrejos.
The reason for transferring the fountain is due to the fact that its current location is not really a place that many people pass by and it isn’t very visible. This is partly due to the construction of the new sports area that was built more recently. The Plaza de Los Cangrejos is an area where the fountain will be seen much more both by tourists and visitors and residents alike.
The fountain is built from 16 different stones, each one representing a member of the European Union.
