The Council is preparing to carry out urgent repairs and actions at several beaches in the municipality, work which should have been started much earlier in the year in preparation for the main holiday season.
Almost all of the shower units on all beaches need replacing and walkways need attention or replacement on El Salon, Torrecilla and El Chucho beaches.
The Council is preparing to carry out what it deems to be the most urgently needed actions, the financing for this being through funds already provided by the Association of Municipalities (Mancomunidad de Municipios) some time ago.
It is intended that actions such as the placement of walkways are carried out in the fastest way in order to cause the least inconvenience to users. These are works which could have been completed before the start of the beach season.
The Councillor for Beaches has offered his apologies in advance for any inconvenience that may be caused by these works.
