It is party politics as usual in the Council, this time relating to a visit to the town on Wednesday by the president of Málaga Council, Elias Bendodo.
The PP has criticised the PSOE mayor, Rosa Arrabal Téllez, for not meeting Bendodo to visit the works at the new Fire Station on the Frigiliana road.
The meeting had reportedly been originally scheduled for 13:00 but was changed to 11:00 on Wednesday morning. The PP state that they informed the mayor of the change by telephone.
The mayor, on the other hand, states that she did not hear about the change until she was setting off for the Fire Station at 12:15, and therefore missed the meeting. The mayor also published a copy of the memo showing the originally scheduled time of 13:00.
The mayor, in turn, criticised the PP for using social and other media relating to this matter, adding that the Fire Station project was a municipal and not solely a PP project.
