Those who missed out on the opportunity to see the ballet ‘Swan Lake’ last November will be pleased to hear of its return to Nerja this month. The ballet is being performed by the Russian Classical Ballet Company and features a cast of international dance stars being led by Evgeniya Bespalova.
The performance will take place at the Centro Cultural Villa de Nerja, next Tuesday 19 January 2016 at 8.30pm. Tickets are priced at 25 euros each.
Swan Lake is a story of love, romance, betrayal and triumph of good over evil. The ballet is performed in two acts and four scenes with the music of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. Libretto by Vladimir Begichev and Vasily Geltzer. Choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov. The ballet premiered on February 27, 1877, at the Bolshoi Theater in Moscow.
