Junta refuses to comment on Alcalá de Guadaíra deaths

The Ministry of Health in Andalucia is refusing to comment on the causes of the tragic deaths of three members of one family in the town of Alcalá de Guadaíra, Sevilla, and insists that the proper medical protocols were observed.

Three dead from food poisoning

Three people from the same family died today and a fourth is in a serious condition in hospital after a case of food poisoning in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Sevilla.

Police in Alcalá de Guadaíra rescue kidnapped child

Natiuonal Police officers in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Sevilla, have rescued a child, a Chinese national, who had been kidnapped and held for several days, the kidnappers demanding a ransom of around one million euros from the parents.

Cocaine haul in Sevilla

Nine people have been arrested in Sevilla in connection with international drugs smuggling. Police seized 174.5 kilos of cocaine, hidden amongst pallets of goods from Paraguay, during a raid on a warehouse in Alcalá de Guadaíra.

Six injured in fire

Six people had to be treated for smoke inhalation after a fire at a house in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Sevilla province. The fire began at 05:20 on Wednesday morning, the cause of which is unknown.

Search called off

The authorities in Sevilla have called off the search for the body of missing teenager Marta de Castillo at the waste treatment plant in Alcalá de Guadaíra. The search has been going on since March 20th, but no trace of the girl has been found.
