Some of the preliminary work in preparation for the building of the new Health Centre has already begun. The old derelict slaughterhouse has gone and one of the plots down on the Rio Chillar riverbed has already been cleared.
Major renovation project in Torrox Pueblo to start next week
Work is finally about to start on improvements to the road through the centre of Torrox Pueblo between La Rabitilla and La Granja. The project, jointly financed by the Junta de Andalucía (€1.3 million) and the Council (€427,000), was scheduled to start in October but was delayed due to probelms encountered with several landowners along the route.
Next phase of works in calle General Asensio Cabanillas
The Councillor for Infrastructure, José Alberto Tomé Rivas, has given details of Phase Two of the four phase plans for improvement works to calle General Asensio Cabanillas. The infrastructure in the area is such that it all passes through calle General Asensio Cabanillas on its way from Avenida Andalucía to calle Rodríguez Acosta.
