Out and about November 1st 2012

Quite a few shops open today, despite it being a public holiday, but that seems par for the course these days. At least it didn’t rain, although the precipitation is currently forecast to return at the weekend.

The sun returns…

I was very surprised to see that Foto Sistema in calle Cristo has closed after umpteen years, unless they have just moved to new premises for some reason. Nice to have the sun back out again and there were quite a few people on the beach this morning.

And the mist rolled in…

Quite a thick sea mist rolled in around lunchtime today, but fortunately it didn’t stay too long. Didn’t bother the sunbathers and swimmers much, and the kayakers carried on as if nothing was happening.

Saved by a squaddie

Lovely pictures, and story, about a baby squirrel rescued by a soldier. One interesting quote, though: I fed him with baby food and milk through a syringe every four hours. Then his teeth came out and he started eating himself. Squirrel Rescue
