Indefinite urban transport strike in Huelva

The 150 employees of the municipal bus company in Huelva, EMTUSA, begin an indefinite strike today after two meetings held last week failed to resolve the issues. The unions are objecting to the Viability Plan put forward by the Council.

One hour stoppage by judges and prosecutors

The associations of judges and prosecutors will be stopping work between 12:00 and 13:00 today, Wednesday, and congregating outside courthouses in protest at planned reforms by the Ministry of Justice. The reforms include the virtual disappearance of substitute judges, less days off and increased court fees, which many believe will limit citizen access to the justice system.

Iberia Christmas strike called off

The unions representing Iberia staff have called off their proposed Christmas strike, despite the latest meeting with management ending without any agreement. The unions are protesting against the restructuring plans announced by the parent company, IAG, in November.

Two days of strikes at Parador hotels

Workers at Radio Televisión Madrid (RTVM) have returned to strike action and the station is off the air today. The unions are protesting at plans for up to 925 redundancies at the station.

Threat of strike action by cleaning staff in Rincón de la Victoria

Workers at the municipal cleaning company EMMSA in Rincón de la Victoria have voted unanimously in favour of strike action as from December 17th if no agreement is reached on the new collective agreement, the old agreement expiring at the end of this year.
