Rural thefts continue

Four men have been arrested in Vélez- Málaga after they stole 180 kilos of chirimoyas (custard apples) from a farm on the Camino de la Igualada. The thieves were spotted by a watchmen and the Local Police intercepted the van full of fruit near the highway.

Cable theft in Bobadilla Estación

Many streets in Bobadilla Estación, Antequera, have been without lighting for five days after thieves stole around 2,000 metres of copper cable.

Thief steals car with baby in the back

Local Police in Chiclana de la Frontera have arrested a seventeen year old youth who stole a car with a baby in the back of the vehicle.

20 detained in connection with cable thefts

Twenty people have so far been detained in an investigation into an international plot to steel cables, mostly copper, in Cádiz and neighbouring provinces. Raids on several industrial premises are being carried out in Jerez de la Frontera and further arrests are not being ruled out.

Stolen church windows

A routine inspection of an antiques shop in Antequera by members of SEPRONA resulted in the discovery of two glass windows that were amongst seventeen removed from the San Pedro church.

Thieves caught in the act

Two 30 year old men were caught red-handed in Valle de Abdalajís (Málaga) as they were stealing scrap metal and copper wire from an old pumping station.

Wire thefts in Alhaurin de la Torre

In just one week, thieves have stolen around 5,700 metres of cabling in and around Alhaurin de la Torre with the thieves, in some cases, carrying out their raids in broad daylight.

Thieves leave stadium in darkness

Police in Córdoba have detained four men who stole 2,000 metres of copper cable from the Arcángel football stadium in Bailén, leaving the whole place without lighting.
