Shrinking beach…

Not so many people on Torrecilla beach on Wednesday, but only because the sea had rolled in á la Fiesta Blanca and reclaimed much of the sand. Total change of shape for the beach and a small ridge had formed, as it does from time to time. The area that remained was quite packed.

Out and About, July 24th 2013…

One or two people beginning to trickle down to the beach. This was Torrecilla beach this morning. By midday, there were quite a few people who will be suffering later today or tomorrow, not merely in pain but in sheer agony judging by the redness on backs, shoulders and heads. Made me wince just looking at them.

Railings and wailings…

The whole of the Torrecilla beachfront at the bottom of Plaza de los Cangrejos now has shiny new stainless steel railings. The wall of the second phase was completed some time ago and now, in the past few days, the railings have been added.

Work is starting to replace the dilapidated, and in some parts, missing railings down by Torrecilla beach at Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos. As with the first section, the new railings will be stainless steel to prevent corrosion and will be erected on top of a retaining wall. Out and About March 14th 2013…

They were hard at it today down on Torrecilla beach, cleaning away the weeds along the promenade and giving the wall a new lick of paint ready for the Easter holiday period.

Good day for waves…

The rain stopped, the sky cleared and the sun began to shine through and it was quite a warm day in the end. The wind, however, did begin to blow but it made for some nice waves down at Torrecilla beach.

Out and about December 30th…

Sunday lunchtime was once again quite busy down on Plaza Fabrica de los Cangrejos near Torrecilla beach, all the restaurants doing a pretty good trade which is nice to see.
