Raid on illegal gambling den

As part of the ongoing fight against illegal gambling, police attached to the Junta de Andalucia  have raided an illegal gambling and poker den in Vélez-Málaga.

Council to pay remaining compensation over 15 years

According to Vélez-Málaga Council, the TSJA ruling will allow them to repay the remaining €2.7 million owed to residents of El Copo relating to noise pollution over a period of fifteen years.

Collision on the A-7 in Vélez-Málaga

A lorry and two cars were involved in a collision on Tuesday afternoon in Vélez-Málaga. The incident occurred at 13:30 at km 271 on the A-7. Fortunately no-one was injured in the accident.

Council considering changes to public transport system

Vélez-Málaga Council is currently intending to introduce new amendments to the public transport system in order to cut travelling times and boost passenger numbers. Officials will meet next week with the transport concessionaire Travelsa in order to try and finalise the proposals.
