It is fiesta time again in Nerja with the Fiesta of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of seamen, and a number of events will be taking place over the next three days.

The Brotherhood of the Virgen del Carmen held their annual benefit dinner at the weekend and also presented their poster for this year which has been designed by Ana Martín Gutiérrez. The fiesta of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of seamen, is on July 16th.

On Saturday, the Sala Mercado was the scene of the presentation of the special cake being produced in honour of the Virgen del Carmen, patron saint of seamen.

Torre del Mar Feria 2011
Torre del Mar Feria in honour of Santiago and Santa Ana is in full swing and continues until Tuesday. Tonight, Sunday, sees a concert by Natalia and Maka, Monday night it’s Elsa Rios and the procession of the Virgen del Carmen is on Tuesday.
