Today saw the laying of the foundation stone for the largest project under the current PGOU, the construction of 427 houses and a hotel, which will be one of the largest in Nerja, in Fuente del Baden.
An urn was also buried containing the layout for the project, coins and newspapers.
The project envisages the construction of 427 homes and a large hotel on a 170,640 square metre plot, the hotel taking up 8,773 square metres. There will also be a large green area near to the highway and there are plans for sports, educational and facilities.
The Mayor of Nerja is reported as saying that this huge project will be a major fillip to the development of Nerja from the social, economic point and labour point of view because it will be necessary provide the manpower to develop the sector and to build all the houses.
Not to mention the potential revenue from the numerous licence fees.
The execution time of the works has been set at 2 years and is being carried out by Hermanos García Motril.
