The Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, has officially signed off on the works in calle Antonio Millón, a project which cost €267,000 and was financed through Urbanismo Comercial funds.
The project included paving the entire street in a vibrant grey, the installation of plant boxes, the planting of a large number of orange trees and the use of minimalist lighting.
The idea now is to hqve a basically pedestrianised area stretching from the Parque Verano Azul to Burriana beach.
The pedestrianisation of calle El Barrio is the next phase and work is scheduled to start in October.
