I was on the Balcon the other evening and there was a pleasant buzz about the place: children playing, locals talking in their usual loud voices, cats running around.
Ten minutes later I was in another place where, unbelievably, there was an absolute silence. No kids messing about, no animals, no noisy music, no loud talking, no “flower-sellers”, and, most notably, no traffic. I could not believe that it was possible to experience this wonderful silence. Where is this oasis of calm in the middle of Nerja?
I was standing in the middle of the Los Huertos car park, a place I strongly recommend to anyone wanting to escape from the hussle and bussle of daily life.
