If at first you don’t succeed…The Council is once again asking the Junta de Andalucia to present the technical plans for the proposed Health Centre so that construction can begin. Following a recent meeting between the Councillor for Public Health, Nuchi Moreno, and the provincial Health Delegate Daniel Pérez, there appear to be several problems with the project.
Firstly, the Health Delegate was quick to point out that there is no money available. Secondly, even if it could go ahead, so much time has elapsed that the Functional Plan is now obsolete and a new one would have to be made.
So, a Health Centre is not looking to be on the cards at any time in the near future, but the Council keeps plugging away, perhaps hoping to bombard the regional government into submission.
