The long-awaited meeting between the Councillor for Public Health, Nuchi Moreno, and the provincial Health Delegate, Daniel Pérez, has taken place and it has apparently been confirmed that there are no funds available in 2013 for the construction of a new Health Centre.
The provincial delegate has produced a new Functional Plan, which will be presented to the Council next week, and the task for 2013 will be to produce a new Health Centre project which conforms to this new Functional Plan.
On the subject of installing a lift in the existing Health Centre, the provincial delegate also confirmed that there is no money in the 2013 budget to cover such a project but he will be studying the possibility of carrying out improvements to the existing structure at a later date.
