Chestnuts roasting on the coals, delicious sweet potatoes roasted in their jackets and a square packed with costumed folk having a great time.
That was the scene last night for the traditional Fiesta de la Castaña y el Boniato (chestnut and sweet potato) and Maroween 2013 in Plaza de las Maravillas in the small village of Maro.
A great deal of effort went into providing a ghoulish experience with decorations adorning the square and surrounding streets. There was even a figure floating over the square, excellent use of a remote controlled copter.
