New beach ordinance in Torrox Costa

Beachgoers in Torrox have apparently been expressing their objection to a new municipal ordinance which prohibits the leaving of umbrellas, chairs or towels to preserve a spot on the sand.

A 25-year-old Moroccan national, on holiday in Fuengirola, has been arrested for an alleged crime of indecent exposure at the beach.

Access for the disabled at La Cala del Moral beach

The Department of Environment of Rincón de la Victoria Council has, for the first time, commissioned equipment for disabled bathers at the beach in La Cala del Moral. Until now, this equipment was only available on the beach in Torre de Benagalbón.

A 45 year-old German woman died on Friday at El Palmar beach in Vejer de la Frontera, Cádiz province, while trying to save her husband who had apparently got into difficulties in the water.

Burriana and Torrecilla beaches have once again been awarded the Blue Flag by ADEAC, adding to the three other flags already awarded to these beaches: The Q for Quality, the Quality Tourism flag and the ISO 9001.

Fatality on Estepona beach

A 97 year old Swiss man drowned today at a beach near urbanisation Alcazaba Beach in Estepona. Witnesses reported seeing the man set out on a surf board and then later spotted the body floating in the water.
