The National Police have arrested seven people in connection with at least twenty robberies, some with violence and intimidation, along the Costa del Sol.

The Costa del Sol closed 2013 having received 9.5 million tourists, an increase of five percent over the previous year and is expected to maintain growth in 2014. This bucks the national trend of decreases in tourist numbers.

Business associations in the Axarquia complain about cleanliness of beaches

Man arrested in connection with Costa del Sol fire

Gang of thieves arrested

The National Police have arrested eight members of an organised gang whose main activity was stealing from cars parked at shopping centres, golf courses and hotels along the Costa del Sol.
