Recycling campaign along the Costa del Sol

The Association of Municipalities of the Costa del Sol-East has launched a campaign to raise awareness amongst both residents and tourists of the importance of recycling and conservation of the coastline. The initiative will take place at beaches, promenades, plazas, public pools and markets in a total of eleven municipalities.

Uncertain times

A new cloud hangs over the Costa del Sol, amongst other places, as two major northern European markets, Germany and the UK, introduce austerity measures to combat the continuing financial crisis. The UK and Germany account for around 40% of hotel bookings on the Costa del Sol.

Nine arrested in connection with Costa del Sol robberies

Nine people have been arrested, eight in Málaga and one in Granada, in connection with a series of robberies on the Costa del Sol. The gang, mostly Rumanian, are known to have carried out at least twelve robberies in Benalmádena, Fuengirola and Mijas.
