More than 20 evacuated during fire in Vélez-Málaga

Over 20 people had to be evacuated from their homes in Vélez-Málaga on Thursday after a fire affected a building in calle Enrique Van Dulken. The fire began in a kitchen and the building was evacuated as a precautionary measure. The residents were allowed back into their homes after about an hour.

Evacuations in La Restinga

The Director General of Security of the Canary Islands, Juan Manuel Santana, has raised the alert status in La Restinga on the island of El Hierro as seismic signals indicate the possibility of an eruption closer to shore and at a shallower depth than the one that occurred on Monday.
