Parking problems in Frigiliana

Since the closure of the underground parking facility in December, the restricted access to the centre of town and the ‘rearrangement’ of parking on the main road, businesses and residents in Frigiliana are complaining about the lack of parking spaces which, they believe, is costing the town money.


Nerja may no longer have a wall trolley and the carriages may have been removed from their central location, but no so Frigiliana. These new additions to the hillside village are conveniently located in El Ingenio, right next to the bus stop and market.

Frigiliana Council negotiating to reopen the car park

Banesto, who foreclosed on the La Cañada del Ingenio car park in Frigiliana after the owners got into financial difficulties, have put the car park up for sale. The Council, in the meantime, is trying to negotiate the reopening of the car park until a suitable buyer can be found.

Frigiliana Council will not appeal TSJA ruling

Frigiliana Council has decided not to launch an appeal against the ruling of the Superior Court of Justice of Andalucia (TSJA) relating to the partially annulment of an ordinance adopted in 2004 to regulate the approval of houses built in rural areas.
