57 illegal immigrants intercepted near the Isla de Alborán

Two women on board a boat full of illegal immigrants intercepted near the Isla de Alborán, Almeria, have been transferred to hospital in Motril for treatment. One is in an advanced state of pregnancy, the other has a broken arm.

31 illegal immigrants intercepted near Tarifa

Thirty-one adult male sub-Saharans were intercepted this morning as they reached Tarifa. Eight of the passengers had to be treated for minor injuries as the area where they came to land is rocky. After receiving attention from the Red Cross they were taken to Algeciras.

A Royal Caribbean cruise ship, returning to Málaga after a week at sea, last night pickled up 19 Moroccan immigrants, including eight children and a pregnant woman, off the coast of Almeria.

In the early hours of Tuesday morning the Guardia Civil intercepted a small boat carrying 23 Algerians about 2.5 miles east of Villaricos, a small village in the municipality of Cuevas del Almanzora, Almería province.

The Marine Rescue vessel ‘Guardamar Calíope’ has intercepted a small pneumatic dinghy with 57 sub-Saharans on board including 8 women, one of whom is pregnant. The boat was spotted by a fishing vessel and intercepted about 10 miles southeast of the isla de Alborán.

Another 50 immigrants arrive in Almeria

Two small boats were intercepted off the coast of Almeria on Thursday and the fifty passengers are now enjoying the hospitality of the National Police.

55 sub-Saharans intercepted off the coast of Almeria

Fifty-five sub-Saharans, including a number of young children and babies, failed in their attempt to gain unauthorised entry into the land of mass unemployment after their boat was intercepted about four miles southeast of the Isla de Alborán.
