In another incident involving a boat full of illegal immigrants, 2 bodies have been recovered and 49 people have been rescued off the coast of Morocco in an operation carried out by the Spanish and Moroccan authorities.
At least 14 dead after immigrant boat capsizes

The Maritime Rescue Service has intercepted a small boat carrying 12 sub-Saharans, eight men, three women and a baby, south of Tarifa. The boat was located at 08:45 this morning and the passengers are now on their way to the port of Tarifa.
8 illegal immigrants intercepted near Fuengirola
Eight Moroccan immigrants, one possibly a minor, were intercepted in the early hours of this morning off the coast near Fuengirola. Theyb were taken to Fuengirola marina where the Red Cross were on hand to provide food and blankets. They are now in the custody of the National Police ready to be repatriated.
Two more small boats intercepted off the Almeria coast
A small boat carrying 14 illegal immigrants was intercepted yesterday after being detected by the SIVE surveillance system about 12 miles off Garrucha, Almeria province. The occupants were all adult Maghrebi males. Earlier in the day, a boat carrying 31 immigrants was also intercepted.
