Approval for Benamocarra PGOU

The Provincial Planning Commission has approved the new PGOU (General Plan) for Benamocarra, a document which took seven years to formulate. Included in the PGOU are plans for a new feria ground and a municipal theatre.

Iznate PGOU approved

The PGOU for the town of Iznate, population around 1,000, has been approved by the Junta de Andalucia. The plan includes provision for the construction of 221 houses and provides for a growth in population of 530 inhabitants.

PGOU’s, LOUA’s and Health Centres

There are optimistic mutterings that the approval yesterday of the partial adaptation of the PGOU (General Plan) to the LOUA (Urban Development Act of Andalucia) will pave the way for the reclassification of the land ceded for a new Health Centre and, as a consequence, reignite the project.

Initial approval to new General Plan

The Nerja Council has given initial approval to the new General Plan (PGOU), the highlights of which include the construction of 8,000 houses, turning El Playazo into a dynamic tourist hub, expansion in Maro and, of course, a golf course in La Coladilla.

PGOU approval postponed again

The initial approval of the new PGOU (General Plan) has once again been postponed at the request of the opposition PSOE, both Ángel Ramírez and his deputy, Luis Peña, citing ‘personal reasons’ for being unable to attend the meeting.
